The gang have continued to be busy at shows. Brodie was best veteran in breed and reserve best dog at lancs and cheshire collie club open show which was lovely, this was early october. He then scooped best veteran in breed at champ show LKA december 10th under breed specialist sheila telford which wins him an invite to Rough Collie Of The Year awards at the end of january. We last atteneded this when he gained his rcc at 12 months old. Abby and bella were respectable 2nd places.
Brooke had a nice 3rd place in open bitch at collie association champ show under breed specialist valerie geddes, shes been rather bald for the last couple of months. She also had another agility clear round, not competing very much lately as theres less to attend in winter. A nice 5th place. Brooke has been a busy girl, completing assessment for the do more with your dog trick dog scheme, she got her novice and intermediate trick dog awards on the same day. She has also been awarded firslyt silver and then just a week later gold versatility awards from the Rough And Smooth Collie Training Association, for being so versatile and well rounded and gaining points across several disciplines.
Aside from the dog activities we have enjoyed a couple of beautiful trips to Glencoe lately and down to Loch Venachar for some walks, on the odd dry day we had. The weather wasnt very pleasant, now we are to iced over to do much. I am hoping my time off at christmas can be used well for lots of fresh air and countryside.
